The Department of Energy (DOE) is now looking for other countries that can supply oil in case the “worst-case scenario” happens or if the conflict in the Middle East drags on.
But did you know that only about half of what consumers pay goes to import costs?
The rest covers taxes and the operating expenses and profits of oil companies among others.
